Glen “Foo” Brown was born in San Pablo, Philippines in August 20, 1981 and grew up in the streets of Alexandria, Virginia (Washington D.C. Tristate Area). In his early teen years he's committed “art crimes” as a graffiti artist, but was never caught by the Popo for his artistic felonious expression. With his ninja like skills he has climbed, ran, broke into abandoned buildings, and hopped many a fences and quickly gained the respect of fellow street artists. His tagging name or persona will never be revealed to the common folk, especially the authorities and will take to his death bed.
In the underground graffiti world, being 29 is too old to do anything as far as graffiti goes. “It's either you go and sellout and make t-shirts, shoes, clothing and out source your product to little kids in Bangladesh to make in sweatshops”, Glen states on his views of being a retired graffiti artist. Now an ex-graffiti artist he took his spraying with medium mentality and learned the ways of the airbrush by himself. In Spring of 2008, he retired and went indoors to express himself in other “legal” ways.
Upon learning the airbrush, Glen started to render and paint his friend's and family's portraits or anyone he found with an endearing personality and facial qualities. He would hold frequent photo shoots for these people and worked with budding photographers to capture them for reference for his paintings.
A college drop out, he looks forward to continue his pursuit of receiving his Bachelors of Science for Graphic Design sometime in the near future, or whenever he gets off his lazy ass.
